We don't believe in complicated technology, but in pure ergonomics. Our philosophy is simple: Every component must serve the child, not the other way around. By radically reducing the weight, we give children back full control of their bike. This makes every journey safe, every hill manageable and every excursion a real adventure.

Innovation at a glance

The Q factor describes the width of the cranks and plays an important role when it comes to the efficiency of the pedaling movement. Ideally, the Q factor should match the rider's stride distance. A Q factor that is too large forces the legs into an X position. The ACADEMY bikes offer one of the smallest Q factors and are optimally tailored to children.
A good children's bike is only a good children's bike if it is really light and can be optionally adjusted! With lightweight frames and components, we achieve this goal with our ACADEMY bikes and even go one step further. The lowered top tube offers a low step-through height, making it easier for children to get on and off.
The patented Syntace Vario stem grows in height and length. The stem principle can be infinitely adjusted and is 100% stable in every position. This always guarantees an optimally adapted sitting posture, meaning that your ACADEMY bike can grow with you effortlessly. Adjustment range: 55-105 mm Length: 70 mm FlipFlop: yes Angle: 6 degrees

Where does the ACADEMY brand come from?

We are children's bike experts Bielefeld. In a city with a huge bicycle tradition, we have over 15 years of experience developing bikes that combine lightweight construction and orthopedic requirements without compromise.
Why is the weight of the bikes so important?

Because children have less strength than adults. Our ACADEMY bikes weigh consistently less than 40% of an average child weight. This makes handling playfully easy and ensures immediate driving fun.
What makes the ergonomics at ACADEMY so special?

We're betting on that narrow Q factor. The small distance between the pedals protects the knee joints and the flow of power when pedaling is much more natural and efficient.
How safe are the ultralight frames really?

For us, lightweight construction means full stability. Ours Triple butted aluminum frame are tested far beyond the norm. Every component from our Bielefeld development must withstand extreme loads.
Are ACADEMY bikes also suitable for everyday use?

Absolutely. Despite the focus on every gram, we offer suitable sets for street equipment. This makes the bike the perfect companion for school and leisure time - without unnecessary ballast.
